This astonishing video lecture and call for new investors suggests a plausible way to fabricate really big habitats in space. It is like a Ted Talk on steroids.

There is a strange fixation on establishing space stations that folks could actually visit as “space tourists.” In that four people just spent many millions to stay aboard our International Space Station recently, they may be on to something. However, with inspiration from Bezos and Musk, we are getting use to plans for outrageous “off planet” achievements.

It is worth watching just for the audacity of the technical idea and to enjoy the really classy graphic animations. The best animation sequence, showing a habitat being constructed in orbit, is at the end. You can skip to that if you wish.
